Changi Airport

Today we go to Changi Airport for our Social Competence & Travelling lesson. Mr Lim tells us that there are altogether 4 terminals - terminal one, terminal two, terminal three and budget terminal. We take skytrain to move around terminals one to three.

The purpose of the visit is not just viewing the aeroplanes or eating at one of the food outlets. We learn
(1) What do the displayed signs mean?
(2) What is the flight check-in procedure?
(3) What is the maximum size of hand luggage?
(4) What are the items that are not allowed to pack in the luggage?
(5) What is the immigration for?
(6) What is 'Arrival' and 'Departure'?
(7) Where to find the information on arrival and departure?
(8) Which row to check-in the flight?

School holiday on 1st October

Dear All,

Please note that 1st of October would be a school holiday for both sessions.
Letter would be send out to parents tomorrow. The office would be operating as usual on that day.

Travelling!!

Due to the H1N1 virus, we do not have Social Competence (Travelling) lesson for long time.

Good news!! Next Tuesday we will be going out again :-)

Convert CD tracks into MP3 format

Ms Jasmine Tan was on medical leave.

Mr Lim showed us how to convert songs from CD to MP3 format and then save inside the computer hard disk.
By doing so, people do not need to carry the CDs when they are travelling. They can play the MP3 songs using the laptop/notebook/netbook; or transfer the MP3 songs into a MP3 player.

Mr Lim also played Chinese music video during the Mother Tongue lesson as Ms Yeo was absent. Mr Lim wanted us to learn to read and pronounce the Chinese characters.

Our new teacher Ms Jasmine Tan

This morning Ms Tan joined us for the PE lesson. We formed two teams and played Captain's Ball. Back to the classroom, Ms Tan taught us how to introduce ourselves and our friends. Next we have Domestic Science lesson with Ms Pei Ling. We learned how to make Pizza :-)

Mr Lim is leaving soon .....

Today Mr Lim told us that he is leaving Metta School at the end of the month.
